Today I’m going to the 3rd Annual Roots Picnic at Festival Pier on Penn’s Landing (Philadelphia, PA). Starring The Roots, Vampire Weekend, Clipse, Mayer Hawthorne & The Country, The Very Best, Nneka, Jay Electronica, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Das Racist, The Foreign Exchange, Bajah and the Dry Eye Crew, Pattern Is Movement, Money Making Jam Boyz, and a special appearance by John Legend Featuring a special performance by Wu Massacre featuring Ghostface Killah, Method Man, & Raekwon backed by The Roots. I wanted to attend for the past two years but ticket prices or prior engagements have kept me sidelined. Hearing about it from all of my friends, I knew that I had to make it their at least once. Well, today is that day. I’m going to this concert of epic proportion, courtesy of Okayplayer.com who hosted a contest for tickets AND I WON!
