The Red Bull Flugtag is back in Philly at the Camden waterfront this September! I had a great time the last time it was here in 2010 with my friend Sandra. Click on photo above to check out my photos from 2010 and think about checking this event out with me in September :)

Not a lot of good opportunities to get a photo of Jay-Z without huge obstructions, but this one was saved. The purpose of this event was to announce a 2 day music festival in Philly hosted by Jay-Z, Budweiser and other sponsors. You may not know this, but on Saturday January 29, 2011 VitaminWater, Buckmans Ski Shop and Radio 104.5 with other sponsors built a ski/snowboard ramp in The Piazza at Schmidt’s in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia PA.

It was a great spectacle, everyone had a great time and there were three bands playing on the Piazza’s stage. I kept my lens trained on the skiers and snowboarders.

Today I’m going to the 3rd Annual Roots Picnic at Festival Pier on Penn’s Landing (Philadelphia, PA). Starring The Roots, Vampire Weekend, Clipse, Mayer Hawthorne & The Country, The Very Best, Nneka, Jay Electronica, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Das Racist, The Foreign Exchange, Bajah and the Dry Eye Crew, Pattern Is Movement, Money Making Jam Boyz, and a special appearance by John Legend Featuring a special performance by Wu Massacre featuring Ghostface Killah, Method Man, & Raekwon backed by The Roots. I wanted to attend for the past two years but ticket prices or prior engagements have kept me sidelined. Hearing about it from all of my friends, I knew that I had to make it their at least once.
