Security stopped me at Penn’s Landing “Art Star Bazaar,” pointed at my camera and asked, “What agency are you photographing for?”
- ME: “Just myself”
- HIM: “You can’t go in with that, no professional cameras allowed.”
- ME: “It’s an entry level DSLR.”
- HIM: ” Oh ok, you good then.”
…as I walk in muttering, “WTF was the point?”
It’s not so bad during the day either but, I’m quite fond of The Piazza at Schmdit’s at night.
If you haven’t spent a clear night in The Piazza at Schmidts you may be missing out on something. Especially with the live music, sporting events on the jumbo screen, galleries, restaurants and bars, and a great community of people.

PYT was host to a fun night of “Plastic Rock: Rock Band Karaoke.” Friends of Geekadelphia.com AND PYT gathered in the backroom to play fake instruments, sing and dance (well, I didn’t, I made these photos).
